Dr. Ben Carson Responds To Biden’s ‘You Ain’t Black’ Statement: Pandering Is Not One Of The Principles That Will “Lead Us To The Mountaintop’

HUD Secretary Dr. Ben Carson responded to Joe Biden’s “you ain’t black” remarks that led to mass outrage on Friday.

Biden was met with instant backlash after he claimed during a live-stream with radio show host Charlamagne Tha God from “The Breakfast Club”, that if you support President Trump “then you ain’t black.”

Without directly naming Biden, Dr. Carson took to Twitter and aimed his focus on the uproar caused by the former VP’s “disheartening” statement.

“It is disheartening to see that some in this country still believe that African Americans are beholden to one political ideology at birth, due to the color of their skin,” Dr. Carson wrote.

“In reality, ideals like the freedom of thought, resilience, and self-determination have guided the black community through the darkest of times,” he added. “It is these principles, not pandering, that will continue to lead us to the mountaintop.” See Below

Biden eventually walked back his remarks, and suggested that he was being too “cavelier” when making them, while left-leaning sources, including CNN, attempted to downplay the situation.
